Spore...

I've been aiming at keeping the amount of game related posts down due to the inevitable geek factor it brings. But this is one game that really needs something said about it.

Spore is a new game being created by Will Wright, the guy who created "The Sims". From what can be seen, this will be the game that will define what an epic game is. You start the game off as a basic microorganism, where you can add basic "body" parts like claws and the like. Eventually the being will evolve...

Over time your creature will evolve in a basic being, then a pseudo human being. Different cities will be created(using a sort of Simcityeske style) all around the world, and when required, battles will occur. Eventually the level of knowledge will be so great that your society will be able to create a spaceship, which means colonizing or battling other worlds.

I hope this game ends up being good, and it's nice to see something other than a generic first person shooter.
